Skyboot AI Markdown SEO Plugin Compatibility

Skyboot AI Markdown works alongside your SEO plugin and follows its settings. It reads noindex, meta descriptions and canonical URLs from seven SEO plugins, and it never changes your SEO plugin’s output on HTML pages.

Which SEO plugins are supported? #

How are these settings used? #

SettingUsed for
noindexLeft out of llms.txt, llms-full.txt and IndexNow, and flagged in Citation Readiness
Meta descriptionThe description in the Markdown front matter and the one-line description in llms.txt
Canonical URLThe Link: rel="canonical" header of the Markdown version, so ranking signals go to the right page

When no SEO plugin is active, AI-written meta descriptions are saved as the post excerpt, which the plugin’s fallback meta description uses.

Does the plugin add meta tags or JSON-LD to my pages? #

Only when no SEO plugin is active. The plugin can add a fallback meta description and basic JSON-LD to HTML pages (Settings > Enable Fallback JSON-LD). Both switch off automatically when any of the plugins above is active, so your pages never get duplicate tags.

Which FAQ block format is used? #

Imports and AI fixes create FAQ sections in your SEO plugin’s block format, so its FAQ schema keeps working. Choose the format under Settings > SEO FAQ Block Import Format: Rank Math (default), Yoast SEO, All in One SEO or the core WordPress Details block.

FormatWhat is created
Rank MathOne “FAQ by Rank Math” block with all questions
Yoast SEOOne “Yoast FAQ” block with all questions
All in One SEOOne “AIOSEO – FAQ” block per question, the answer as paragraph blocks
DetailsOne core Details block per question, the answer as paragraph blocks

Each block’s markup matches what the SEO plugin itself saves, so the editor opens it as that plugin’s FAQ block.

Are SEO fields imported from Markdown? #

Yes. When you import Markdown with seo_title and description (or meta_description / seo_description) in the front matter, the values are saved to your SEO plugin.

What if my SEO plugin is not listed? #

Developers can exclude posts or supply descriptions with the skyboot_ai_md_llms_exclude_post and skyboot_ai_md_meta_description filters. See Developer Hooks.

FAQ #

Does Skyboot AI Markdown work with Rank Math? #

Yes. It reads Rank Math’s noindex settings, meta descriptions and canonical URLs, saves AI-written meta descriptions to Rank Math, and creates FAQs as Rank Math FAQ blocks by default. If Rank Math’s own llms.txt feature is on, turn it off so only one plugin serves /llms.txt.

Does it work with Yoast SEO? #

Yes. Noindex, meta descriptions (including Yoast template variables) and canonical URLs are read from Yoast, and AI-written descriptions are saved there. Choose Yoast under Settings > SEO FAQ Block Import Format to get Yoast FAQ blocks.

Will Skyboot AI Markdown conflict with my SEO plugin? #

No. It never prints meta tags or JSON-LD when an SEO plugin is active, and the Markdown versions point their canonical to your HTML pages. Your SEO plugin stays in charge of your HTML pages.

Why is a page in my sitemap but not in llms.txt? #

It is probably set to noindex in a way your sitemap ignores, password-protected, a store utility page, or its content type is unticked under AI Visibility > Settings > Content types. See llms.txt and Markdown pages.
